Admit your mistakes, learn from them, and never step back from your values. Walk consistently toward your goals, because true leadership is measured by integrity, resilience, and the example you set for others.
From physics teacher to founder of one of Georgia’s leading schools and a hospitality brand — what has that journey looked like?
From the very beginning of my professional career, I have believed that leadership starts with personal responsibility and leading by example. I have always viewed leadership not as a position, but as a commitment to inspire others through integrity, professionalism, and continuous growth. Throughout my journey as a teacher, educational leader, trainer, and entrepreneur, I have focused on building trust, empowering people, and creating environments where others can succeed.
The qualities I value most in leadership include responsibility, vision, empathy, resilience, effective communication, teamwork, innovation, and lifelong learning. I believe that a true leader influences others through actions rather than words. This philosophy has guided me in establishing successful educational and hospitality organizations, mentoring educators and leaders, and fostering a culture of excellence. My leadership journey continues to be driven by a passion for creating opportunities, developing people, and making a lasting positive impact on the communities I serve.
What impact are you proudest of, across education and hospitality?
Throughout my career, I have focused on creating a culture built on high standards, trust, and integrity. I believe that lasting impact comes from consistency between what we think, what we say, and what we do. Keeping my word has always been one of my strongest principles, and I have earned the trust and deep respect of colleagues, students, parents, and partners by honoring every commitment.
My leadership has fostered open and transparent communication, both within my organizations and in the wider community. I have worked to establish sustainable systems that continue to grow beyond individual achievements. Consistency, accountability, and a long-term vision have become the foundation of the institutions I have built. I am grateful to be recognized not only for professional excellence but also for the genuine relationships I have built with people, whose trust and appreciation remain my greatest achievement.
What’s the achievement that stands out most?
My greatest achievement has been creating a lasting impact that extends beyond my own institutions. In 2002, I founded AIA-GESS, which has become one of Georgia’s leading private schools, recognized for academic excellence, innovation, and leadership. Equally important, I have dedicated my career to supporting the professional growth of educators and schools by sharing best practices, mentoring leaders, and building collaborative partnerships.
Through cooperation with schools in Ushguli, Mestia, Racha, and other regions of Georgia, we promote professional development, exchange experience, and implement high educational standards while learning from one another. I believe that true leadership is measured not only by the success of one institution but by the positive influence it has on others.
My work has been recognized nationally and internationally through awards for educational leadership, peacebuilding, and innovation. However, my greatest achievement remains empowering people, strengthening schools, and creating sustainable change that benefits future generations.
What makes your leadership distinct?
What makes my leadership meaningful is that it is built on trust, consistency, and service rather than authority. I believe that leadership begins with personal example—people follow what they see, not only what they hear. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to keeping my word, maintaining high standards, and leading with integrity.
My impact extends beyond my own institution. By collaborating with schools in Ushguli, Mestia, Racha, and other regions of Georgia, I have promoted professional development, shared best practices, and encouraged mutual learning. I believe that true success is measured by how many people you help grow alongside you.
My leadership is also deeply human-centered. I value every individual, celebrate their achievements, and build lasting relationships based on respect, care, and trust. For me, leadership is not about standing in front—it is about empowering others to move forward while ensuring they always know someone believes in them.
What advice would you give future women leaders?
My advice to future women leaders is simple: never be afraid to move forward, never step back from your values, and remain consistent in your actions. Leadership is not about being the loudest person in the room—it is about earning trust through integrity, courage, and accountability. Do not be afraid to admit your mistakes; they are opportunities to learn and grow.
A true leader empowers others rather than seeking the spotlight. Sometimes the strongest leadership comes from standing behind your team, supporting them, encouraging them, and ensuring they succeed. Lead with empathy, listen carefully, and never underestimate the power of kindness. People may forget your words, but they will always remember how you made them feel. The greatest achievement of any leader is to leave behind not only successful organizations but also people who are stronger, more confident, and inspired because of your leadership.
